Job Description:
Our client, a highly profitable SaaS and eCommerce company, has engaged us to conduct a search for a passionate User Experience (UX) Designer to join their experienced Engineering team. This hire will report to the VP of Engineer. This role will pay $110K to $120K.
The Senior User Experience Designer will be responsible for leading and implementing a common user experience and interface across our enterprise and consumer-facing software products. The role will collaborate heavily with Product Management, Engineering and customer-facing groups to improve current products, create innovative new UI/UX approaches and own the user experience across our product portfolio. We're changing the rules about how great software in our market should look, feel and perform and we're seeking an individual who's passionate about executing on that vision.
Responsibilities:
* Create design and usability standards across our portfolio of software products
* Design user experiences that are intuitive, instructional and focused on essential tasks, while providing discoverable richness for more advanced users.
* Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to execute on these standards.
* Drive efforts around overall product experience simplification and usability
* Develop the user experience architecture and serve as the expert on key design projects across the company's applications
* Extensive prototyping and customer research to meet complex and varied requirements within tight development windows
Requirements:
* 10+ years of significant track record in defining and delivering great online user experiences
* Expertise in multiple web technologies, including but not limited to HTML/CSS, Javascript, AJAX-based frameworks
* Exposure and experience with ExtJS, jQuery, HTML5 (offline, web workers, canvas, etc.) highly desired
* Experience developing and delivering in an agile/scrum environment
* Extensive experience designing highly transactional web applications
* Excellent command of: user experience methods, design principles, problem-framing skills
* Demonstrated ability to create a vision for user experience and successfully deliver on a rapidly growing product portfolio
* Bachelor's Degree
* Master's Degree in Design Preferred
